Hi there! Thank you so much for reading this far, it means a lot to me! While I've been continually updating my website, my comic has been on a bit of a hiatus. Such is the struggle of the comic artist. I've gotten several comments and messages about wanting this project to continue. I've technically never stopped working on Atomic Gothic, actually! But the comic upload schedule has basically halted since early 2022.
A lot has happened since then! For one, I've met my current co-collaborator and best friend, Livia @ Pepsiharlot.com who has helped me with this project immensely. There has been a lot of rewriting- and new characters! Which has left my current work here in an awkward state...I don't want to make any edits to the current panels (this would be a lot of work and unfaithful to my original vision) so the panels that I upload from now might have a few minor inconsistencies. I hope the overall narrative still makes sense!
Check out Pepsiharlot's awesome site here!
My old workflow for AG was also a bit tedious (chapters would take MONTHS to finish). My method for digital line work was straight up not fun, and I found myself missing traditional art after hours in front of the computer. Rereading it now, I'm still quite proud of what I've created! However, for me to continue this comic, it needs to be enjoyable for me to make...
This AG2.0 might consist of:
One off comics
Collaboration comics
Inconsistent art styles and formats
Multimedia projects!
Fanart showcases
More 'story' per page, illustrating one panel at a time was tedious and more work for the reader to navigate
Basically, I want AG to be just as interesting (continuing its wider narrative etc) but less intensive for me to finish. I also don't want to limit myself to just one 'format'. I've always been a believer of 'do what you want' for creative projects, because who cares, its mine!!! I hope you can still enjoy my comic even if it changes a bit!
Thank you again for reading!
